Since its founding in 2015, Ethos Academy has utilized
Core Knowledge, specifically
Core Knowledge Language Arts, as its primary ELA curriculum for scholars in grades K-3.
The McGraw Hill Wonders and
StudySync programs serve as the primary ELA curriculum for scholars in grades 4-8, and align with the K-8 Core Knowledge Sequence and
Common Core Standards.
To support the early literacy development of all scholars, Ethos Academy also utilizes the Core Phonics Program, which emphasizes phonological awareness through daily phonics practice, while providing diagnostic and prescriptive interventions to meet the unique learning needs of all scholars.
Additionally, the
Step Up to Writing Program provides all K-8 students with a multi-sensory, explicit, and systematic approach to teaching writing and is designed to provide clear strategies, methods, and support for increased student success. This school-wide program allows for consistency and growth as children advance through grade levels. Created for all students, the strategies in Step Up to Writing are designed to be used to support writing instruction in all content areas.
